As I mentioned a few posts back, I've been developing a photography curriculum to use with K-6 grade. This week I wanted to expand upon a "Shadow & Light" exercise from last year by seeing if we could create color shadows. I've seen images where this worked with translucent kids umbrellas, but I lacked the umbrellas. So I decided to give helium balloons a try and I'm excited to say–it worked! Below are some of my sample shots, before trying it out with the kids. I must say, everything is more fun with a bunch of balloons!
